This Tag Thursday is still in the Valentine’s Day mood because let’s be honest, I’m a hopeless romantic! Original tag comes from SimplyABookLover on Youtube.
1. Valentines
A book with pink, red, and white on the cover
Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern. There’s no pink on this image, but my version also has a pink little heart-shaped sticker on it saying ‘Movie Edition’. I usually don’t like movie edition covers, but this one fits the question, so there’s that!
2. Sweethearts
A book with the best pickup line
I adore the cheesy but swoon-worthy lines from the Elemental trilogy by Sherry Thomas:
“I live for you, and you alone”
“The night you were born, stars fell. The day we met, lightning struck. You are my past, my present, my future. My hope, my prayer, my destiny.”
3. Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Favorite book couple
I can’t choose! I recently did a top 10 of my favorite book couples and I love them all dearly.
However, if I have to choose right now I would choose a couple from a series I just finished and I loved dearly: Damen and Laurent from the Captive Prince series by C.S. Pacat. These 2 are OTP gold.
4. Roses
Most romantic book couple
Tessa and Jem from the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. They are so sweet together, I love them!
5. Teddy Bear
A book that makes you want to snuggle with someone
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. This is just such a cute little story full of first love and family love and it was just so darn cute it makes you want to snuggle.
6. Candle Light Dinner
A book that you’d take out on a date
I’d like to go on a date with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I have not read it yet, but I feel like a date would be perfect to get to know this book and then who knows? I may fall in love with it forever and ever.
7. Pizza
Best book for single people
If there is no romantic love in your life at the moment, I would suggest replacing it with book love. It’s a wonderful feeling to fall in love with a new book series and I would definitely recommend the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas for this. It’s an amazing story that is not yet finished so there still are a lot of good times to look forward to. And it has it all: a bad-ass heroine who does not need a man to save her, but at the same time still some nice romantic moments. I’m convinced that almost everybody will find something to love in this series!
I tag you! What would you answer to these questions?
