“Waiting on” Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine. The purpose is to spotlight upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
My pick for this week: The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich
Expected publication:
May 16th, 2017

What it’s about:
There is a secret organization that cultivates teenage spies. The agents are called Love Interests because getting close to people destined for great power means getting valuable secrets.
Caden is a Nice: The boy next door, sculpted to physical perfection. Dylan is a Bad: The brooding, dark-souled guy, and dangerously handsome. The girl they are competing for is important to the organization, and each boy will pursue her. Will she choose a Nice or the Bad?
Both Caden and Dylan are living in the outside world for the first time. They are well-trained and at the top of their games. They have to be – whoever the girl doesn’t choose will die.
What the boys don’t expect are feelings that are outside of their training. Feelings that could kill them both.
Why I am waiting for this release:
This blurb sounds so, so good! This book sounds like a perfectly funny and original take on all these tropes and I am so here for it! I mean, this is about a spy school that trains these teens to become tropes. Their assignment is to get close to a girl and whoever doesn’t get the girl, dies. And then they end up falling for eachother instead? THIS SHIP, I AM ALREADY ON IT!
this sounds so exciting. *looks at the release date* OMG HOW CAN WAIT UNTIL MARCH?? *cries* Still I am on board this ship AT THIS VERY SECOND. let’s hope there isn’t a love triangle.
Exactly! I just discovered this last week and I am already counting down the days – I want to read it now… Yes, this ship, it sounds so good! And I really hope for no love triangle too.
oh man, it looks amusing. love the cover also

Glad you like the idea of this one too! I just discovered it last week and fell in love already – I have high hopes for this one 🙂
