“Waiting on” Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine. The purpose is to spotlight upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
My pick for this week: Windwitch (The witchlands #2) by Susan Dennard
Expected publication:
January 10th, 2017

What it’s about:
The follow-up to New York Times bestselling Truthwitch, next in a breathtaking YA fantasy series hailed by Alexandra Bracken as “a world you will want to inhabit forever.”
On a continent ruled by three empires, some are born with a “witchery,” a magical skill that sets them apart from others.
In this follow-up to New York Times bestselling Truthwitch, a shadow man haunts the Nubrevnan streets, leaving corpses in his wake—and then raising those corpses from the dead. Windwitch continues the tale of Merik—cunning privateer, prince, and windwitch.
Why I am waiting for this release:
I need to read this book because I loved Truthwitch. Though to be honest, I also really need a re-read because what happened again? *mind is blank* But even though the details are hazy, I do remember my love for the amazing characters and their friendships and my super high hopes for this series. Also, seriously, have you looked at that gorgous cover?
I still need to read Truthwitch. I keep hearing great things about it. I’m with you on that cover though. So gorgeous!
I really liked Trutwitch and I have high hopes for the rest of the series 🙂 Hope you’ll enjoy it! and yes, I hope the rest of the covers will be equally gorgeous <3
I still need to read Truthwitch, but I have heard good things. I definitely plan to get to it before this one releases. And I do love this cover. Great pick!
Ah, I hope you’ll enjoy Truthwitch! I really liked it, but I’ll definitely need a re-read before this one comes out because the details are kind of very hazy 😉
