The Books & Series I Hope Santa Brings This Year

20201222 Books I Hope Santa Brings This Year

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

It’s almost Christmas (how fast did this year go?) and so today we are talking about the books we hope Santa will bring. So below are all the books I subtly hinted at (as in, they are on my actual wishlist that I sent to people. It’s helpful, not greedy, right?) and I’m hoping Santa will bring me this year.

I hope that, despite the weird circumstances this year, you’ll all have an amazing Christmas or other holiday with loved ones and possibly some books from your wishlist 😉

The Steel and Stone series by Annette Marie

Despite my love for this series, I don’t actually own any of the physical copies. Which I need to remedy, of course.

The Spell Weaver trilogy by Annette Marie

Another Annette Marie series I would really love a physical copy of for my shelves.

The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty

I heard so many good things about this series and I have a feeling it’s one of those series I will love so much that I prefer a physical copy.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab

I have yet to read this and it sounds so good!

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

Another 2020 release I haven’t read yet and would really love to.

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

I tried listening to this on audiobook and failed. But I think the physical copy, despite being a terrifying behemoth, might be a better way to devour this book.

Fence: Striking Distance by Sarah Rees Brennan

Despite my love for the series, I haven’t read this yet and would love a physical copy since I own physical copies of the comics.

  1. I am hoping for mostly middle grade to be honest. Easier to read during lockdown with a 4yo around 😉

I hope you’ll be getting some physical copies of Annette Marie 😉

    1. I can understand, hope you’ll get lots of middle grade books this year 😉

  2. Great list! I love The Daevabad Trilogy and I’ve heard so many good things about Fence. Merry Christmas!

  12. I hope you get some of these! I love the look of Priory and also Marie’s series…

    1. Thanks, they do look great. Hope you had a great Christmas!

  13. I totally agree with you about wanting physical copies of the Daevabad Trilogy – I bought hard copies of the first and second book for that reason and didn’t regret it at all. I’m not sure if I would try listening to the Priory of the Orange Tree on a reread because it’s just a very chunky and complex book. I spent a month working my way through the hardback and thoroughly enjoyed it so I think it’s definitely more accessible as a book if you’re someone who better absorbs info in that format.

    1. So glad to hear that you loved the Daevabad trilogy!
Yeah, Priory didn’t work for me on audiobook, I hope the physical copy will go better :à

  15. What a great list of books! Here’s hoping Santa brings you all the great reads you want. I’ve tried to limit buying new books at the end of the year, but I’m about to break down and buy a copy of The Priory of the Orange Tree myself.

    1. Oh, hope you’ll enjoy Priory!
