Twelve of 2021’s Most Anticipated Romance Novels

20210216 2021 Romances

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Today’s topic was supposed to be ‘Purple, Yellow, and/or Green Book Covers’ but I wasn’t feeling that, so I’m going rogue! As a hopeless romantic, I’m still a little stuck in last week’s love freebie, so I thought “WHY NOT DO ONE MORE LOVE TOPIC?” And thus, this post was born!

I’ve really been rediscovering the romance and rom-com genre in the last few years (hey, we all could use something light and fun and with a HEA every once in a while), so today I’d like to highlight twelve romance books that are being released in 2021. Which one of these are on your TBR?

Shipped by Angie Hockman

release date: January 19th

Two office rivals stuck on a cruise to the Galápagos Islands…together. Sounds like the perfect mix of The Hating Game and The Unhoneymooners to me! (I already read and reviewed this and really enjoyed it)

Make Up Break Up by Lily Menon

release date: February 2nd

It’s Sandhya Menon’s debut adult romance and it’s an enemies-to-lovers / second-chance story about two rival app developers so it’s a must-read obviously.

Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron

release date: March 2nd

The only thing I love more than all things bread? Fake engagement stories. Combine the two and I’m sold.

To Love and to Loathe by Martha Waters

release date: April 6th

From the blurb: “a swoon-worthy novel about a man and woman who never agree on anything—until they agree to a no-strings-attached affair in this Regency-era romp.” = me in love.

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle

release date: April 6th

A woman inheriting an old house from her great aunt and the gorgeous yet grouchy groundskeeper who has different visions for the property’s future sounds like a match made in bookish romance heaven to me.

Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne

release date: April 13th

I love The Hating Game so much that any new Sally Thorne is an auto-read. And this story about a retirement home manager who hires a muscular, tattooed man as an assistant to two old women sounds like it could be just as good.

The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary

release date: April 29th

A new book by Beth O’ Leary. Road trip. Scotland. Second chance romance. Yep, definitely have high hopes for this one.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

release date: May 6th

Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston quickly became one of my all-time favorite books, so of course I have high hopes for One Last Stop. Add to that the fact that this is a time-travel rom-com with a focus on queer history, and I AM SOLD!

People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry

release date: May 11th

Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers from the author of Beach Read equals one very excited me.

The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren

release date: May 18th

I have yet to read a Christina Lauren book I don’t like, so adding this to my TBR feels like a no-brainer. I’m already super excited about the hate-to-love, fake dating and science nerd aspects!

The Layover by Lacie Waldon

release date: June 15th

Blurb: “…Stranded at a luxury resort in paradise with her nemesis…”
Me: I’LL TAKE IT!

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang

release date: August 17th

A new book from the author of The Kiss Quotient and The Bride Test, this third book features fan-favorite Quan with his very own romance!
