Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!
Today’s a freebie topic and since I’ve been feeling a little slumpy lately (as in, not feeling the reading so much but still wanting to read and adding all the books to my TBR) I decided to focus on that TBR today! So here are the 10 last books I added to my TBR! Some of these are upcoming releases and some are already released. I also tried to shoutout the book blogger that made me add a book to my TBR, when applicable and if I remembered đ
Something Wilder by Christina Lauren
Release date: May 17th 2022
The âreigning romance queensâ (PopSugar) and New York Times bestselling authors of The Soulmate Equation and The Unhoneymooners present a charming and laugh-out-loud funny novel filled with adventure, treasure, and, of course, love.
Growing up the daughter of notorious treasure hunter and absentee father Duke Wilder left Lily without much patience for the professionâŚor much money in the bank. But Lily is nothing if not resourceful, and now uses Dukeâs coveted hand-drawn maps to guide tourists on fake treasure hunts through the red rock canyons of Utah. It pays the bills but doesnât leave enough to fulfill her dream of buying back the beloved ranch her father sold years ago, and definitely not enough to deal with the sight of the man she once loved walking back into her life with a motley crew of friends ready to hit the trails. Frankly, Lily would like to take him out into the wildernessâand leave him there.
Leo Grady knew mirages were a thing in the desert, but theyâd barely left civilization when the silhouette of his greatest regret comes into focus in the flickering light of the campfire. Ready to leave the past behind him, Leo wants nothing more than to reconnect with his first and only love. Unfortunately, Lily Wilder is all business, drawing a clear line in the sand: itâs never going to happen.
But when the trip goes horribly and hilariously wrong, the group wonders if maybe the legend of the hidden treasure wasnât a gimmick after all. Thereâs a chance to right the wrongsâof Dukeâs past and their ownâbut only if Leo and Lily can confront their history and work together. Alone under the stars in the isolated and dangerous mazes of the Canyonlands, Leo and Lily must decide whether theyâll risk their lives and hearts on the adventure of a lifetime.
From the author of the âheartfelt and funnyâ (Publishers Weekly) sensation The Unhoneymooners, this page-turning adventure full of second chances, complicated relationships, and the breathtaking beauty of the American Southwest will take fans on one wild ride.

They awaken when she finds a white fae almost dying in the woods. Now, twenty years later, are they back? Is there another war coming?
The fae is evasive and secretive, but he is also alluring and fascinating, more beautiful than anyone sheâs ever seen. And then it happens: her first kissâand nothing will ever be the same.

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

Dear (never-been-quite-over-you) Crush,
It’s been a few years since we were together, but I can’t stop thinking about the time we almost…
Wren Roland has never been kissed, but he wants that movie-perfect ending more than anything. Feeling nostalgic on the eve of his birthday, he sends emails to all the boys he (ahem) loved before he came out. Morning brings the inevitable Oh God What Did I Do?, but he brushes that panic aside. Why stress about it? None of his could-have-beens are actually going to read the emails, much less respond. Right?
Enter Derick Haverford, Wren’s #1 pre-coming-out-crush and his drive-in theater’s new social media intern. Everyone claims he’s coasting on cinematic good looks and his father’s connections, but Wren has always known there’s much more to Derick than meets the eye. Too bad he doesn’t feel the same way about the infamous almost-kiss that once rocked Wren’s world.
Whatever. Wren’s no longer a closeted teenager; he can survive this. But as their hazy summer becomes consumed with a special project that may just save the struggling drive-in for good, Wren and Derick are drawn ever-closer…and maybe, finally, Wren’s dream of a perfect-kiss-before-the-credits is within reach.
A feel-good summer LGBTQIA+ New Adult RomCom, perfect for fans of Red White & Royal Blue, Boyfriend Material, and What If It’s Us.
Here’s To Tomorrow by Teagan Hunter
Release date: July 2018
Thanks to Deanna @ANovelGlimpse for the review that made me add this to my TBR!
Hudson Tamell is a blue-collar single father. Heâs funny, hot in that panty-melting sort of wayâexactly the type of guy Iâd crawl between the sheets with.
Only problem? Heâs looking to settle down, and Iâm not.
I have big plans to leave this town behind. The last thing I should do is get tangled up with a guy like him.
So please explain to me why the moment he looks at me from under the hood of my car, the sarcastic replies on my lips come out sounding sweeter. Why does he make me want to settle down, right hereâŚwith him?
Heâs not what I wanted.
But maybe heâs what I needâŚ
A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn
Release date: November 2nd 2021
Thanks to Deanna @ANovelGlimpse for the review that made me add this to my TBR!
The quintessential question asked to every couple. And the answer is usually some bubbly, lovey dovey tale of being struck in the bum by Cupidâs arrow.
My meet cute (well not so meet cute) is slightly different. I was trolling a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take me as their bride, you know, to make my arch nemesis jealous who consequently just fired me.
He was stomping around the block like some sort of gorgeous ogre, mumbling about a business deal gone wrong and attempting to finagle his way out of it.
And thatâs when we bumped into each other.
There were no sparks.
Not even a hint of blossoming love.
But next thing I knew, I was scarfing down free chips and guac, listening to this man lay out all of his problems which led to his big ask . . . he wanted me to be his Vivian Ward, you know, from Pretty Woman–minus the frisky behavior.
Weâre talking about living in a mansion, intimate double dates, and pretending we were head over heels in love . . . and engaged. Can you imagine?
The absolute audacity.
But people do crazy things when theyâre desperate. And I reeked of desperation. So, I struck up a deal.
My one big mistake, though . . . big . . . HUGE? I accidentally fell for the incomparable Huxley Cane.
Phantom Heart by Kelly Creagh
Release date: August 17th 2021
Thanks to Stephanie @Bookfever for the review that made me add this to my TBR!
Seventeen-year-old Stephanie Armand doesnât believe in ghosts or spirits. Despite her six-year-old sister, Charlie, insisting a masked figure is hiding in her closet, and the rumors at school, Stephanie isnât convinced her fatherâs latest renovation projectâa crumbling Victorian mansionâhouses the soul of a monster.
So when the very charming (and paranormal obsessed) Lucas Cheney takes an interest in both Stephanie and her notorious home, the supernatural and romantic activity escalates to an all-time high. And that doesnât even take into account the dashing, British-accented eighteen-year-old boy, Erik, whoâs taken up residence in Stephanieâs nightly dreams. A boy who may have something to do with the man in the mask, and the strange occurrences taking place at Moldavia.
A steamy YA romance with Twilight vibes, inspired by Gaston Lerouxâs classic The Phantom of the Opera
