Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s topic is authors I haven’t read, but want to (submitted by Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse, so thanks for the fun idea!).
I have A LOT of authors I haven’t read, but want to, so for the sake of narrowing it down I gave myself 3 criteria:
- They have been on my TBR for a long time already and I annoyingly keep promising to read them but it hasn’t happened yet. For example, I keep commenting ‘Oh I really want to read this author’ whenever I see them mentioned on blog posts by other bloggers.
- It can’t be a debut author (because the list would be way too long and would not go well with criteria n°3)
- I need to have multiple books and/or series by them on my TBR.
With these criteria in hand, I came up with the below 8 authors. Let’s dive in!
Meghan Quinn
Where I’m thinking of starting: A Not So Meet Cute
Also want to read: Put Me In Detention | The Reunion | The Getting Lucky series (Honestly, all of her books sound like fun!)
I can’t begin to count the number of times I commented ‘I need to read Meghan Quinn’. She releases multiple books a year and they all sound like SO MUCH FUN, so I need to just dive in.
Chanel Cleeton
Where I’m thinking of starting: Next Year in Havana
Also want to read: When We Left Cuba | The Last Train to Key West | The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba
All of her book covers are just so unbelievably gorgeous and I just need to start reading them instead of only looking at them wistfully.
Rachel Lynn Solomon
Where I’m thinking of starting: See You Yesterday
Also want to read: Today, Tonight, Tomorrow | The Ex Talk | Weather Girl
Whether it’s YA or adult fiction, so many of her books sound amazing!
Ivy Asher
Where I’m thinking of starting: The Bone Witch, book 1 of The Osseous Chronicles
Also want to read: her Hellgate Guardians series, which is co-written with Raven Kennedy
I’m still on my quest to read more urban fantasy/paranormal fantasy romance, and this author just keeps popping up and demanding my attention (and I’ll be happy to oblige… sooonish, I promise!)
Molly Harper
Where I’m thinking of starting: How To Flirt With A Naked Werewolf, book 1 in the Naked Werewolf series
Also want to read: the rest of the Naked Werewolf series | the Jane Jameson series
How could I say no to that book cover and title? Molly Harper is often recommended in the same breath as Jeaniene Frost and we all know how much I adore Jeaniene Frost, so I just need to get to Molly Harper too!
Clare Sager
Where I’m thinking of starting: Beneath Black Sails, book 1 in the Beneath Black Sails series
Also want to read: the rest of the Beneath Black Sails series | the Stolen Brides of the Fae series
Another author that keeps popping up in my fantasy romance quest. She writes about pirates and fae and I’m in!
Lucy Foley
Where I’m thinking of starting: The Paris Apartment
Also want to read: The Guest List | The Hunting Party
I’m not usually into thrillers and mysteries, but Lucy Foley is demanding my attention. Everyone seems to love her books and they do sound super intriguing!
Riley Sager
Where I’m thinking of starting: Survive The Night
Also want to read: Lock Every Door | Final Girls | Home Before Dark
Another thriller/suspense author that is calling to me. I’m a scaredy cat, but I still want to read all of this books!
Riley Sager is amazing! I found out about them last year and then went through their books! Still need to read Survive the Night (the library hasn’t gotten it yet) and then I am eagerly waiting for The House Across the Lake. I hope you enjoy their books~
Glad to hear you love Riley Sager! I hope to get to their books soon too!
I’m curious about The Bone Witch, too.

Hope we’ll both enjoy that one!
I love Meghan Quinn. She’s practically an auto-buy author for me. She does rom-coms so well. 🙂
All of her books do sound like so much fun!
I loved the first book I read from Meghan Quinn and definitely want to read more. Chanel Cleeton and Rachel Lynn Solomon have also become recent favorite – I think you’ll especially love Rachel’s books!
I’m glad to hear you loved a Meghan Quinn book! And of course also Chanel Cleeton and Rachel Lynn Solomon – I hope to get to them soon.
Omg YAS, Meghan Quinn is so good! She never fails to make me laugh with her romances and I always have a blast reading her romances. I also enjoyed the Beneath Black Sails series when I read it last year. I hope to finally read Rachel Lynn Solomon this year cos I keep seeing her books everywhere and they all look/sound so good! I hope you enjoy all of these authors/books 😍
SO happy to hear you love Meghan Quinn and the Beneath Black Sails series! And hopefully 2022 is the year where we’ll both try some Rachel Lynn Solomon 🙂
I haven’t read any of these, but I have a book by Riley Sager and Lucy Foley on my TBR! I hope you enjoy them when you get to them!
My Top Ten!
Thanks! Hope you’ll love those authors too!
Thank you!
I have not read any of these. I do hope you enjoy them when you get a chance to read them!
Thanks!
It’s a good thing that is a blog comment because otherwise I would be screaming at you to hurry up and try Quinn and Cleeton. Haha! Those two are auto-reads for me. Will read anything they release.
Haha I can imagine! Though every time I see a review on your blog for a new Meghan Quinn book it kind of feels like a scream to read it, to me too 😀 Soon, I promise!
I like your criteria to help you narrow down your list. It was hard to narrow down this week, wasn’t it? I could probably make a part 2, 3, 4, and 5 to this prompt, lol. I hope you enjoy each of these authors/books when you finally read them.
Thanks! Yes, this list would have been endless if I didn’t narrow it down somehow 🙂
I’d love to hear what you think of The PAris Apartment if you try it. I loved the atmosphere…
I’m glad to hear you loved it! I hope to try it soon.
I hope you enjoy all of these!

I also want to read Meghan Quinn, Chanel Cleeton, Lucy Foley and Riley Sager!
Hope we’ll both get to those authors soon(ish) 🙂
Great list! I’ve been enjoying Chanel Cleeton’s historical fiction and Riley Sager’s thrillers. Rachel Lynn Solomon and Meghan Quinn are favorites of mine as well. 🙂
Thanks! I really hope to get to all of these authors very, very soon 🙂
