βWWWβ Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think youβll read next?
I just finished reading Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree as audiobook.
This cozy fantasy novel, about an orc opening her own coffee place, has been on my TBR for ages and has been recommended by a ton of fellow bloggers. It’s also one of the recommendations on my 2023 12 Book Challenge.
I really enjoyed this one, it was cute and cozy and just comforting to listen to. I loved the friendships a lot, as well as the slow-burn romance. Also, I kind of want to open a coffee shop now…
I am currently reading Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross as ebook.
This is the first book in a fantasy romance series featuring sister witches and their paranormal love interests. As you may have guessed from the title, this first installment is full of werewolf shenanigans.
This is a highly loved series by fellow bloggers and I have to say I’m enjoying it so far!
I am currently reading Do I Know You? by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka as audiobook.
I’ve been wanting to try this author duo for ages, and I’m happy I finally dug in! Do I Know You is their latest installment and focuses on a married couple who go on a holiday to celebrate their 5-year wedding anniversary. They’ve been feeling like strangers to each other lately so when a room mix-up at the hotel leads to them having separate rooms, they decide to go for it and play strangers to each other for the duration of their trip to rekindle their spark.
I loved this unique premise and I’m definitely enjoying this fun yet also emotional romance so far.
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
Although I didn’t love their last book, I’m looking forward to Do I Know You?
I enjoyed Do I Know You?, but I still need to read their previous books. Hope you’ll have better luck with Do I Know You!
As for right now being in grad school for history/museums I have a bunch of textbooks and recently published history books Iβm reading. Other than boring everyone with that scholarly readings hear is what Iβm reading for fun! I just finished blade of secrets by Tricia Levenseller. I loved it and am struggling to find the sequel. Hilariously I picked it up while at the bookstore on a whim seeing it displayed on the counter. Now I am reading The Wolf of Oren-Yaro by K.S. Villoso. In my to read pile I have the intention to start reading the Witcher books and finish The series I have already started and own.
Hope you’re enjoying all current and upcoming reads!
I keep saying I’m reading Radiant Sin next but I’m not quite there yet LOL
I picked it up this weekend and finished it in a day, I couldn’t help it, it’s such an addictive series! Hope you’ll love it too!
I’ve been seeing Do I Know You? around but didn’t know what it was about until I read your description. I now want to read it…if you and everyone else think it’s good in the end. Happy reading!
I really enjoyed Do I Know You? If I could nitpick, it would be that I missed ‘seeing’ them fall in love, but that may be because I’m not usually a fan of second-chance romances and so it’s really a me-thing. It was overall a very emotional and unique read, so I would really recommend it.
Hm… So there weren’t flashbacks to that then? I’m probably the opposite when it comes to second chance romances. I don’t want a lot of flashbacks of the first time they fall. I just want a prologue for it or something.
There were indeed no flashbacks. There were a few instances where the characters were remembering earlier moments, but those were very little. The story takes place almost completely in the present day. So if you’re not a fan of flashbacks, you might enjoy this one better than I did π
This might work better for me than you then!
Radiant Sin looks fun. Love mythology stories…
There can never be enough mythology stories π
So glad you loved Legend and Lattes!! I felt the same about it. Have a wonderful week!!
It was a great read, I’m really happy I finally read it π Hope you’ll have a great week too!
I really enjoyed Do I Know You? I’m currently reading A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and I’m loving it. π
Do I Know You? was great indeed! Oh, I’m so happy to hear you’re loving A Witchβs Guide to Fake Dating a Demon because that’s a highly anticipated read for me π
I absolutely loved Legend & Lattes, and am very much looking forward to the upcoming Bookshops & Bonedust.
Wolf Gone Wild sounds pretty interesting. I might have to add it to my TBR.
I’m currently reading The Pearl Hunter by Miya T. Beck, and The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten, and will hopefully finish them in the next day or two. I have no idea what I’m picking up after that. I would have to check my review schedule.
Legends & Lattes was indeed so good, I loved it too. And I also really liked Wolf Gone Wild and I’m eager to read the rest of that series.
The Foxglove King sound intriguing, hope you liked it!
The Foxglove King was rather intriguing. I’m looking forward to adding a completed copy to my library.
Glad you’re enjoying Do I Know You? because I’m planning to read it soon π
I finished Do I Know You? in the meantime and really liked it – hope you’ll enjoy it too!
