βWWWβ Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think youβll read next?
I just finished reading A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley as ebook.
This was one of my most highly anticipated debuts of 2023 and it did not disappoint! It was a great balance of entertaining, funny, swoony, steamy and emotional. It was so addictive I sped through it in a couple of days.
Only downside though: I got the UK edition and it had sooo many errors in there, mostly missing spaces so almost every single page had something “likethis” and it took me out of the story so that was a bummer. Anyone else’s copies have this too?
I am currently reading Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score as audiobook.
This is a hugely popular book and now that the second installment in this series released, I wanted to see what it was about. And I got HOOKED! This is romance gold – I love the small town setting, the sunshine/grump dynamic and the found family vibes. I’m in the final chapters at the moment (it is a looong book, maybe a little too long as only downside) but so far I’m enjoying it a lot and I’ll probably pick up Things We Hide From the Light next.
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
So Score’s book is worth reading? I haven’t read that one yet. You make it sound good!
I LOVED Things We Never Got Over! So much so, that I immediately dove into the second book in the series and now I’m also loving that one so far π I think you may also really enjoy it. It has great small town vibes, grumpy/sunshine, runaway bride, found family, fun secondary characters and a steamy slow burn romance. It’s a bit on the long side, but I didn’t really mind π
Okay. Sold! I think I might do the audiobooks.
I keep seeing the Score books around – I have no idea what they’re about, but I do like the covers!
I was the same about the Lucy Score books! They’re really fun books with a small town setting, and the first one also has grumpy/sunshine, runaway bride, found family and a great slow burn romance. I loved it, so definitely recommend π
I’m currently listening to the audiobook for This Time It’s Real, and am really enjoying the story. Glad it’s on your list of upcoming reads π
I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying This Time It’s Real! I hope to dive into that one soon too π
I am reading Things We Hide from the Light!
I finished Things We Never Got Over and immediately dove into Things We Hide From the Light π
I haven’t written a review for it yet, but I absolutely loved Things We Never Got Over.
I just finished it and loved it so much that I immediately dived into Things We Hide From the Light π
Oh no! I’m so glad that I saw your comment about the UK edition of Fake Dating cos I was *literally* just about to buy it. Is it like really bad? If so maybe I’ll just wait to get it… Also, I totally agree with TWNGO being too long. It really was too long π«£ I hope you continue enjoying your reads though!
The errors in Fake Dating were annoying because they were on almost every page. It’s weird, because it was always 2 words without a space in between, and sometimes names written without a capital letter. Seems more like a bug, because it felt like too many to be an editing issue… It was still readable, but I did always drew my eye and took me out of the reading so that was a pity. Not sure if it was a bug for everyone, or maybe somehow only my version. I haven’t heard anybody else say anything about it though. Hope your version will be without those errors! Because the story itself was still a lot of fun π
On the upside, if your copy of A Witchβs Guide to Fake Dating a Demon is the only UK edition with the errors you have a really special edition π
Haha, that is so true! My first special edition π
