“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ve recently finishing reading The New Guy by Sarina Bowen as ebook
I enjoyed this hockey m/m romance between the two “new guys” on the team, one a hockey player and one a trainer. I also loved the dual POV and the fact that one of them was also a single dad. The characters were loveable and the romance was steamy.
I am currently reading Wait for It by Mariana Zapata as audiobook.
Yes, I’m finally continuing my Mariana Zapata backlist binge with Wait For It. This story features Diana, who I got to know and love as Van’s best friend in The Wall of Winnipeg and Me.
I’m about halfway in and am already loving Diana and her 2 nephews and I’m obsessed with the (very Mariana Zapata-esque) slooooow-burn romance between Diana and her neighbour.
I am currently reading War by Laura Thalassa as ebook.
This is the second book in the Four Horseman series and I’ve been wanting to read it since enjoying Pestilence last month.
As the title suggests, this time we focus on War, another Horseman. Our main character is Miriam, who lives in Jerusalem until the day War comes and Jerusalem falls. Miriam won’t give up without a fight, but when War sees her, calls her his wife and takes her with him instead of killing her, everything changes.
I’m only about 20% in but already enjoying this one and the Khal Drogo vibes 🙂
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
Your reading next choices all look great – I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them!
Thanks!
I am so happy you loved The New Guy! And I hope you continue to love Zapata’s book. That one was so good!
I LOVED Wait For It! Definitely one of my top 3 Mariana Zapata books so far!
I really enjoyed War, Lindsey! 😀
I just finished War and liked it too, but also felt it was a bit too similar to Pestilence. I hope Famine and Death will be more fresh again 🙂
I enjoyed The New Guy so much. It was easy to pull for the two main characters. Wait For It felt different for me because there didn’t seem to be any real plot arc but I was invested in the characters that I didn’t even care. LOL
So true that Wait For It didn’t have any real plot arc, but I also didn’t mind as I love the characters so much 🙂
I haven’t read any of these. I’m currently reading Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice For Murderers.
I hope you’ll love it!
