“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ve finished (re)reading A Gathering of Shadow by V.E. Schwab as audiobook.
My Shades of Magic re-read is going strong!
Just as it did upon my first read of this trilogy, the second book is the one that hooked me to the series and didn’t let me go. I LOVED this re-read and reliving the Essen Tach tournament all over again and I fell in love all over again with all of these wonderful characters.
I finished reading Death by Laura Thalassa as ebook.
I, once again, had mixed feelings about Death, the fourth and final installment in the Four Horsemen series. I loved the main female lead, but unfortunately the main male lead felt a bit bland as a character. Despite him being Death and me being the most hyped for his book from the start. The plot also suffered from the same repetitiveness that the other books in the series had.
Overall though, Death was a satisfying and fitting, if a little predictable and repetitive finale.
I am currently reading A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab as audiobook.
I forgot that the second book in the series ended on a killer cliffhanger, so I just HAD to dive right into the third and final book because waiting was not an option. Never mind that I remember (more or less) what happens next, I just needed more!
I just love all these characters so much and I am now even more hyped for The Fragile Threads of Power coming in September!
I am currently reading Disenchanted by Brianna Sugalski as ebook.
I’ll be on the blog tour for this book in August so I’m reading the ARC for this one right now.
Disenchanted was previously already released as a YA and it was on my TBR as such, but since I haven’t been reading a lot of YA lately I hadn’t picked it up yet. So I was pleasantly surprised when the author announced that she is republishing the first book as an adult version, because her vision has changed and the rest of the series will also be more adult. Of course, I wanted to try that!
I am currently reading New Adult by Timothy Janovsky as ebook.
I was lucky enough to receive this ARC from Netgalley and I’m so excited because this was one of my most anticipated releases for the second half of the year!
It’s basically a ’13 Going On 30′-type of story, in which comedian Nolan Baker makes a wish and is magically transported seven years into the future. In this future, he is super successful and has everything he ever wanted, except his friends and family all ignore his calls and his best friend/crush hates his guts.
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
Glad you’re enjoying your Shades of Magic re-read! Returning to an old favorite is such a good feeling. New Adult sounds like a lot of fun!
I’ve indeed been loving my Shades of Magic re-read! And I just finished New Adult and LOVED it, definitely recommend!
New Adult sounds so fun – I’d love to hear what you think of it when you’re done, it might be something I’d enjoy!
I LOVED New Adult, would definitely recommend it!
Ooh, I’m re-reading the Shades of Magic series now too! 😍 I’m still on book two but I’m really enjoying the Essen Tach and all the magic, character growth and action in this one. I can’t wait to get to that cliffhanger ending now 😂 Happy reading!
Yay for Shades of magic re-reads! I’m so happy I’m doing this re-read as I’m really loving it all over again. Good luck with that cliffhanger 😉
I’m so excited for you to read Love, Theoretically!
me too! 🙂
I need to re-read Shades of Magic too. Right now I’m reading The Boyfriend Candidate and Lisa Jewell’s newest thriller.
I hope you’ll get to do that Shades of Magic re-read! The Boyfriend Candidate sounds like a fun read.
I loved Love Theroretically and The Foxglove King!
Good to know, I look forward to reading those!
I hope you read Business or Pleasure since I’m curious about it! 😀
I just started it 😀
