“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I just finished reading Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q Sutanto as audiobook.
This is such a funny cozy mystery about a 60-year old tea shop owner who one day finds a dead body in her tea shop. Since she feels like she could do a better job than the police, who don’t see any reason for foul play, she immediately starts investigating and it isn’t long until she has a list of suspects… And then those suspects become like a family.
I highly enjoyed this read. It’s light-hearted and funny and endearing and I loved Vera so much.
I also just finished (re)reading The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren as ebook.
I first read this rom-com, about two people who hate each other but unexpectedly go on a honeymoon together when the bride and groom (and the rest of the bridal party) get sick from a seafood buffet gone wrong, a few years ago and loved it.
Now there is a sequel novella out as audiobook only and I wanted to listen to that one but do a re-read of this first installment beforehand. So now that I’m properly refreshed (and yes, I still love this one) it’s time to start the sequel!
I am currently reading Belladonna by Adalyn Grace as audiobook.
Though I’ve seen this book around the blogosphere before, it had never really caught my attention. Until I saw a TikTok by chelseareads who read just one scene from the book (watch the video below) and I just needed to know more because that scene was just hauntingly amazing. When I found out that the story was a gothic murder mystery romance between a girl who can’t die and Death… of course I picked up that baby right away!
I’m almost halfway in and am definitely adoring this one already!
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
I remember enjoying The Unhoneymooners – I’ll have to check out the novella!
The Unhoneymooners was definitely such a fun read! I hope we’ll both love the novella.
SMUT COULD NEVER! Now I really wanna read that book too, tbh. Dammit. 😂
Hahaha that’s what got me too! 😀
How fun to do a reread of The Unhoneymooners. I’ve been hearing good things about The Honeymoon Crashers! I very much want to try something by Elsie Silver soon.
It’s been a fun re-read! I also want to try the Elsie Silver books soon, I’ve heard so many people loving her books already.
I put The Honeymoon Crashers on hold at my library. I hope I get it soon. You were smart to do a reread before it. I won’t do that, I don’t think. I also hope you love Flawless.
I hope we’ll both get to The Honeymoon Crashers soon and will love it 🙂 I also look forward to reading Flawless!
I read Vera Wong this month too and thought it was such a fun read.
It was indeed such a fun read!
