“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I just finished reading Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood as ebook.
I can’t believe I almost didn’t read this, just because I’m not into chess. I’m also not into STEM or sports and yet I do read romances about them regularly so why not chess? I’m glad I gave this one a try though because it was a great YA romance with some amazing character development, family relationships and yes, some chess too. Read full review.
I am currently (still) reading Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros as audiobook.
I am now a little over halfway and I am loving this new installment so far. The stakes are still so high and I love Violet and her squad and her dragons so much.
And, of course, Xaden is still one of my favorite book boyfriends to date.
I am currently (still) reading The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon in physical book format.
I’ve barely made any progress on this one yet, but that is not the book’s fault. It’s a physical copy so my reading is already limited to the weekends when I have enough daylight and time to read (in the evenings I don’t have enough light so I stick to ebooks then) and because the weekends have been busy, there hasn’t been enough time to read at all. So no thoughts yet, but hopefully soon!
I am currently reading The Modern Girl’s Guide to Magic by Linsey Hall in ebook format.
I was in the mood for a fun witchy romance so this one caught my eye. I’m not far in yet, but so far it’s kind of reminding me a bit of Payback’s a Witch and Juliette Cross’s Stay a Spell series.
It has a witch who is a disaster in magic returning to her magical hometown to enter a magical competition that could save her family’s magic shop. And in the process, she falls for the sexy billionaire mage that she’s hated for years. So yes, sounds like my cup of tea 🙂
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
Wreck the Halls was really fun and so perfect for the season!
It sounds like such a fun read indeed!
I’m also still reading Iron Flame and probably gonna be a while before I finish it. It’s so chunky! I’m really enjoying it though 😀
I finally finished Iron Flame earlier today! It’s so chunky indeed, but I loved it 🙂 Hope you will too!
Yay! I’m glad Check & Mate was a hit. I bet Betting on You will be as well.
I’m pretty sure I’ll love Betting On You too, as I loved Better Than The Movies 🙂
I just finished Fourth Wing–trying to procure a copy of Iron Flame now!
Hope you’ll love Iron Flame!
I read Snowed In this month. It was fun catching up with the Fitzpatricks. I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂
Oh I didn’t even realise it was part of a series! Looking forward to reading it 🙂
