Today we’re highlighting our favorite books of 2023. I have 12 favorites, since narrowing it down to 10 was just too hard. Also, please note that there are my favorite books that I READ in 2023, meaning they were not necessarily all released in 2023. And also, these are in order that I read them by, not by preference because that would have made this even harder. So without further ado, let’s go!

I always look at Ashley’s books but haven’t ever read one. I see readers give her books rave reviews though. 🙂 Glad you discovered some great reading in 2023! Hope 2024 brings you more good ones.

One of my goals for 2024 is to catch up with the Shades of Magic series as I read A Darker Shade of Magic when it first came out and then never carried on with the series so hopefully I’ll manage to read The Fragile Threads of Power soon.
My Favourite Books of 2023
I think a read of the Shades of Magic series before diving into The Fragile Threads of Power is a perfect way to experience the story!
The Serpent and the Wings of Night was excellent and cleared a massive reader’s block for me at one time. I think I’ll read more of Broadbent’s backlist in ’24. Happy New Year!

Its good to see that Hell Bent is a favorite. I’ve been a little hesitant to pick it up even though I really liked the first one.
I was hesitant at first too because I loved Ninth House and didn’t want to end up disappointed, but I ended up really loving Hell Bent!

Mine were all books I read in 2023 as well, I didn’t even think about when they were published as I made my list. At least I hadn’t read any from 2024 yet, LOL!

This is a great list. I have only read Hell Bent. All Emily Henry books are must reads for me. I am also looking forward to get my hands on The Fourth Wing

I tried reading Happy Place, and I got annoyed with the characters. I think I got about 15% through. I may give it another try in 2024.

I often feel the same way when reading second chance romances, but weirdly with Happy Place I didn’t 🙂
