“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I just finished reading Betting on You by Lynn Painter as ebook.
This was another adorable YA contemporary romance by Lynn Painter. I loved Bailey and Charlie and their journey from strangers to coworkers to friends to more. I also loved the dive into both of their anxiety over being kids of divorce and the pop culture references.
I was still missing something though: a bit more depth in the Charlie POV’s and a ‘better’ resolution to Bailey’s worries about her parents that was more than 1 pages of ‘well, guess I’m fine with it now’.
Overall a great read, despite my few nitpicks, and a solid four-stars for me!
I am currently (re-)reading The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker as audiobook.
I was in the mood for a re-read and The Simple Wild felt fitting for these cold, dark winter days 🙂
I am currently reading The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson in ebook format.
I just started this one, so no thoughts yet.
I am currently (re-)reading The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas in physical book format.
Guess 2024 is starting off as the year of re-reads! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to do a Throne of Glass re-read for ages, but I’ve kept putting it off because this is such a long series to invest time in a re-read. But not anymore, it’s time for me to get back to Celaena and Dorian and Chaol and the gang!
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
I’ve been meaning to re-read TSW so that I can finish the series. I hope you enjoy The Fake Mate and all your other reads! 🙂
I’ve been loving my TSW re-read! And just finished The Fake Mate and loved it, felt it was a very fresh take on shifter romance.
Can’t wait to hear your thoguhts on The Fake Mate once you have read more. I hope it ends up being really good. I’m currently rereading the Throne of Glass series and now I’m at Heir of Fire. I’m so happy I decided to reread!
I just finished The Fake Mate and ended up really enjoying it! It felt like a fresh approach to shifter romance, definitely nothing like I’d read before.
I’ve been wanting to re-read the ToG series for so long and seeing your re-read motivated me to finally start my own so thanks 🙂 I’m still on Assassin’s Blade though, but loving it so far (though I’ll probably hate that final novella again because of what happens)
I hope to read A Fragile Enchantment and Divine Rivals soon!! I hope we both enjoy them. Happy reading!
Thanks, hope we’ll both love A Fragile Enchantment and Divine Rivals too!
I hope you The Fake Mate. I thought it was fun.
I just finished The Fake Mate and really enjoyed it!
YAY!
The Simple Wild seems perfect for this time of year. I’ve never listened to the audio version… hope it’s done really well!
I definitely recommend the audio books for The Simple Wild, I love them!
I haven’t read any of Lynn Painter’s books yet but I’ve heard such great things about them. I’m glad you loved this one despite your nitpicks. 😀
I’ve highly enjoyed all the Lynn Painter books I’ve read so far, definitely recommend them!
The Simple Wild looks good. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews for that.
It’s definitely one of my favorites!
I keep seeing The Simple Wild on my shelf – I might have to give it a reread this year, too!
I’ve been really loving my re-read, it’s the perfect time now 🙂
Oooh I hope you’ll love Divine Rivals Lindsey!
Thanks Sophie! I have high hopes for it!
I have been meaning to read A Simple Wild and the Rebecca Ross books for sometime now.
I hope you’ll love The Simple Wild! I just started Divine Rivals and I have high hopes 🙂
I love the Alaskan setting in The Simple Wild! I can see why you chose to reread it this winter.
It’s been a great re-read so far!
