Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s topic is about the unread books on our shelves we want to read soon. And well… this is tricky for me because I don’t actually have many unread books on my shelves. I mean, I do have a huge TBR, don’t get me wrong. But I am pretty consistent about only BUYING new books if I intend to read them immediately.
Especially for audiobooks and ebooks, I mostly only purchase one book at a time, whenever I’m ready to start something new, and then read that book immediately afterwards.
For physical books, I do have a few more unread books on my shelves, but I did a huge unhaul last year and since then I’ve been pretty conservative with my buying (due to space constraints, not due to discipline, let’s be honest).
That said, I do still have a few unread books on my shelves, so here we go!
I applaud you for keeping the unread books on shelves low. I need to unhaul a bunch of books soon, too. It’s been a while and it’s overdue. 🙂 Hope you enjoy all of the books you haven’t read yet.
Thanks, Rissi!
Wow, kudos to you! I tend to buy lots of books at one time and then they linger. I hope you enjoy all of these!
Thanks!
I’ve read Book of Night and really liked it (although it feels like I’m in the minority with that opinion :P)
I’m glad to hear you liked Book of Night! I’ve indeed seen a few mixed reviews – I definitely am eager to read it, it’s just a question of when the mood’ll be right 😀
Wow, this is a short list. Good for you.
I’ve heard good stuff about Book of Night.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
Thanks!
You are so good with only buying books that you will read immediately. 😂 I have major problems doing that, lol. I’ve got Book of Night, Atlas Six, and Never Been Kissed on my TBR and I hope to read at least one of them soon(ish)! I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them, Lindsey 🙂
Haha, thanks! I’m definitely not foolproof at not buying too many books, but I am doing pretty okay most of the time 😀 Hope we’ll both love Book of Night, Atlas Six, and Never Been Kissed!
I’ve gone back and forth on Book of Night. It’s on my radar but I can’t decide if I want to read it or not. I think I’ll let you read it and then decide based on your review. LOL
Haha I get how you feel! For me, I still want to read it but I’m just kind of waiting until I’m in the right mood to read it, so not sure how long that’ll be 😀
I can’t wait for you to read Flawless. I’m hoping you love it.
Thanks, I’m hoping I’ll love it too!
Sounds like you’re doing a great job keeping the unread books low!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Doing my best for sure 🙂
I loved The Book of Night but not the Atlas Six 😉
Thanks, good to know Sophie! I have indeed heard a lot of mixed reviews of Atlas Six…
I love that you buy and then read a book, not buying until you are ready to read it. That takes incredible restraint.
Thanks! It doesn’t ALWAYS work out that way, but I do try for most of the time 🙂
I admire your restraint. I’m also not buying a lot of physical books because of space, but I have been buying ebooks and then leaving them unread for ages!
The Book of Night is great! Like Sophie, I also loved The Book of Night and not Atlas Six!

Haha thank you 🙂 I’m glad to hear you loved Book of Night, though I have indeed heard more mixed reviews about Atlas Six.
Book of Night is on my shelf unread too. Atlas Six is on my TBR but one that I don’t own!
Hope we’ll both get to those reads sometime soonish 🙂
Haven’t read any of those, but have my own pile of books I’ve been meaning to read 😆.
It’s a neverending pile for sure 😀
