Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re focusing on books we were excited about but still haven’t read.
I mean, it’s the eternal book lover conundrum right? So many books we’re excited about and yet so little time, so sometimes other books distract us or book slumps happen or life gets in the way or…
So here are 10 recent (ish) books I was super excited to read the moment they released and yet… for whatever reason I still haven’t read them.
I just remembered today that I still need to read The Mystery Guest! Though I had some disappointments with The Maid, I’m curious to see what is next for this character. 🙂
I’m definitely curious to read The Mystery Guest too!
I have fallen behind on that Jen DeLuca series and need to get caught up.
I only have the last one still to read. Hope we’ll both catch up with the series some time soonish 🙂
I’m so curious about The Familiar.
I’m definitely curious about it too!
I haven’t read any of these but so many of them look good! Sometimes when I’m so super excited about a book, I keep putting it off because for some reason I’m worried I might be disappointed.
I totally get that, sometimes the hype is just a little overwhelming!
I’m really enjoying The Familiar at the moment so I hope you’ll pick it up sometime soon 😀
I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying The Familiar! I hope to be able to pick it up soon 🙂
Both The Familiar and Truly, Madly, Deeply were great. Here is my post https://paigesofnovels.com/2024/05/28/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-had-to-buy-grab-were-gifted-but-havent-read-yet/
I’m glad to hear you loved those books!
Truly, Madly, Deeply is one I want to read too! I did read Letter to the Luminous and struggled a lot with that one. Same with Fragile Enchantment but I am a minority on that one. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them! 🙂
Thanks! I did see some mixed reviews about Letter to the Luminous Deep so that’s partly why I keep procrastinating reading that one. Hope we’ll both love Truly, Madly, Deeply!
Yeah, I wish I would have waited to request the arc! lol. Oh well.. at least it’s not super long! Yes, I hope we do!! 🙂
The Mystery Guest is good! I enjoyed The Wake Up Call but it’s not my favourite Beth O’Leary!
That’s good to know, thanks! I hope I’ll enjoy both of them too!
The Familiar is on my list too. Hopefully, we’ll both get to it one day! lol
Hope we’ll both love The Familiar!
I haven’t read THE MYSTERY GUEST yet either, but that’s because I’m going to reread THE MAID first. I loved THE MAID, but I can’t really remember who’s who or what’s what since it’s been a hot minute since I read it. I hope you enjoy it and all the others on your list!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

That’s actually a great idea to reread The Maid first! I’m also not great at remembering things from books I read a while ago, and I prefer going into a sequel with all the information still fresh 🙂
I have been seen a lot of Jen Luca around, I have not read her. I hope you enjoy these when you get a chance to read them.
Thanks! I hope you’ll love Jen DeLuca if you decide to give her books a try!
The Wake-Up Call was great, and I’m still waiting for The Familiar from the library! And I’ve just added Truly, Madly, Deeply to my TBR, it looks like a fun read!

I just (finally) started the Familiar 🙂 Glad to hear you loved The Wake-Up Call!
Spell Bound’s been hanging out on my TBR, too! I did manage to read A Fragile Enchantment, at least.
I hope we’ll both get to read Spell Bound sometime soon 🙂
