Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m going rogue, as the original topic was ‘Books I Was Assigned to Read in School’ but I wasn’t feeling that topic. At all…
So my chaotic-but-makes-some-kind-of-sense-anyway brain went from school to high school TV characters to reading lists to reading lists by bookish characters. And at first I was thinking to highlight books from the Rory Gilmore reading list that I’ve read, but then I figured there’s a more recent bookish, school-going TV character that would be fun to feature in a bookish blog post and that is of course… Isaac Henderson from Heartstopper!
Isaac is one of the characters in the TV adaptation of Heartstopper (fun fact: he’s actually not in the books, only in the TV show) and he’s pretty much always seen reading a book.
So today, I’m highlighting the books read by Isaac in Heartstopper that I have also read.
Let’s go!
Here’s the books we have in common (all books I really liked):
And here is the full Goodreads list of books read by Isaac Henderson in Heartstopper.
Oh, this is a fun twist.
I read The Little Prince as an adult and didn’t like it. But I’m obviously in the minority there, so I’m glad there are so many readers who do enjoy it. 🙂
Thanks! Honestly, it’s been years since I read The Little Prince so I am curious to see if I’d still love it if I were to read it today…
I’ve also read Pride and Prejudice, The Little Prince and The Song of Achilles!
Yay, loved those books!
What a fun take on the topic! I loved Pride & Prejudice!
Pride and Prejudice is a definite favorite of mine too!
Omg, Lindsey! I love the direction you took for this topic! 😍 I’ve read 5 of the books Isaac has read but I have all the others on my TBR still and I can’t wait to read them (one day, lol)
Thanks, Dini! Maybe one day I’ll get to read all of Isaac’s books but it won’t be any time soon haha 🙂
I’ll Give You the Sun looks interesting.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It was a great read!
Fun twist! I have thought about reading from Rory Gilmore’s list, but haven’t.
I’ve been thinking about that too, it would be a fun challenge 🙂
I’ve read four of the books you listed, now I need to go and look at the whole Heartstopper list. Fun!

Hope you’ll love the full list!
Isaac is my favorite from Heartstopper! Great choice this week!
Thanks!
Fun! I really liked A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER and I love P&P. I read THE LITTLE PRINCE only recently and…didn’t love it. I’m not sure I get why it’s such a beloved classic…
Happy TTT!

I did read The Little Prince ages ago and don’t remember much… maybe I’d feel differently if I read it recently.
I’ve only watched the first few episodes, but I hope to make time to watch the rest soon. From this list, I’ve read Book Lovers and Pride & Prejudice.

I hope you’ll love the rest of the episodes!
I know nothing about Heartstopper other than what you just told me. The Little Prince is a classic and often required reading in French class.
Yes, I indeed think I read The Little Prince in French class!
I know a lot of people who’ve attempted a Rory Gilmore reading list, but I think I like this one even better! More variety in the books.
So true, and I feel like it’s also a bit more updated.
Oh my gosh! I didn’t know this was a thing and it’s amazing! I’ve read so many of these books too. I’m going to have to look these lists up. It would be good for a yearly challenge.
That’s definitely a fun idea to do a challenge for this!
I love your topic this week!! I love Isaac and I kept eyeing his books in the show. I’m so happy there’s an actual list!

Thanks! Yes, my eyes definitely also always get drawn to the books, trying to figure out which one he’s reading every time 🙂
What a fun twist on the topic. I have not consumed Heartstopper in any form…and I’ve only read Pride and Prejudice from the whole list. I hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks! I hope you’ll love Heartstopper if you ever decide to give it a try, no matter which form 🙂
I’ve read these books as well, except for Pride & Prejudice.
