Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m going rogue, as the original topic was ‘Books I Was Assigned to Read in School’ but I wasn’t feeling that topic. At all…
So my chaotic-but-makes-some-kind-of-sense-anyway brain went from school to high school TV characters to reading lists to reading lists by bookish characters. And at first I was thinking to highlight books from the Rory Gilmore reading list that I’ve read, but then I figured there’s a more recent bookish, school-going TV character that would be fun to feature in a bookish blog post and that is of course… Isaac Henderson from Heartstopper!
Isaac is one of the characters in the TV adaptation of Heartstopper (fun fact: he’s actually not in the books, only in the TV show) and he’s pretty much always seen reading a book.
So today, I’m highlighting the books read by Isaac in Heartstopper that I have also read.
Let’s go!
Here’s the books we have in common (all books I really liked):
And here is the full Goodreads list of books read by Isaac Henderson in Heartstopper.
Oh, this is a fun twist.
I read The Little Prince as an adult and didn’t like it. But I’m obviously in the minority there, so I’m glad there are so many readers who do enjoy it. 🙂
Thanks! Honestly, it’s been years since I read The Little Prince so I am curious to see if I’d still love it if I were to read it today…
I’ve also read Pride and Prejudice, The Little Prince and The Song of Achilles!
Yay, loved those books!
What a fun take on the topic! I loved Pride & Prejudice!
Pride and Prejudice is a definite favorite of mine too!
Omg, Lindsey! I love the direction you took for this topic! 😍 I’ve read 5 of the books Isaac has read but I have all the others on my TBR still and I can’t wait to read them (one day, lol)
Thanks, Dini! Maybe one day I’ll get to read all of Isaac’s books but it won’t be any time soon haha 🙂
I’ll Give You the Sun looks interesting.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It was a great read!
Fun twist! I have thought about reading from Rory Gilmore’s list, but haven’t.
I’ve read four of the books you listed, now I need to go and look at the whole Heartstopper list. Fun!
My TTT: Books I Should Have read in School
Isaac is my favorite from Heartstopper! Great choice this week!
Fun! I really liked A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER and I love P&P. I read THE LITTLE PRINCE only recently and…didn’t love it. I’m not sure I get why it’s such a beloved classic…
Happy TTT!

I’ve only watched the first few episodes, but I hope to make time to watch the rest soon. From this list, I’ve read Book Lovers and Pride & Prejudice.

I know nothing about Heartstopper other than what you just told me. The Little Prince is a classic and often required reading in French class.
