Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! It’s time again for one of my favorite type of posts, namely our most anticipated releases coming out in the first half of 2025. And as usual, I couldn’t stick to 10. I already had to make some cuts to make it to 12. So that’s amazing actually, because it means there are a lot of new books to look forward to!
Onyx Storm (The Empyrean #3) by Rebecca Yarros
Release date: 21 January 2025
I loved books 1 and 2 and I need to know what’s next for Violet, Xaden and co!
Deep End by Ali Hazelwood
Release date: 4 February 2025
I’ve loved Ali Hazelwood’s books whether she tackled STEM, vampires or chess players. I’m sure swimmers/divers will be another hit!
First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison
Release date: 11 February 2025
I’ve been loving B.K. Borison’s Lovelight series so I’m definitely looking forward to a new series by her. Plus, a romance between a hopeless romantic single mom and a radio host for a romance hotline who’s fallen out of love with love – doesn’t it sound like so much fun?
Scythe & Sparrow (The Ruinous Love Trilogy #3) by Brynne Weaver
Release date: 11 February 2025
This series was the surprise of 2024 for me, so I’m very curious for this last installment!
I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming
Release date: 18 February 2025
Described as “a hilarious and sexy romance about a woman who gets dropped on a strange planet only to fall for not one, but two, aliens” – I mean, how can I not want to read this?
Fan Service by Rosie Danan
Release date: 11 March 2025
Werewolves, fandom, enemies to lovers… Umm, this just sounds absolutely wonderful!
Fearless (The Powerless Trilogy #3) by Lauren Roberts
Release date: 1 April 2025
Though I had some issues with book one in this trilogy, Paedyn and Kai nevertheless managed to steal my heart, making me INVESTED in their story and I NEED them to have an HEA… Please, Lauren Roberts?
Enchantra (Wicked Games #2) by Kaylie Smith
Release date: 8 April 2025
Phantasma was one of my favorite reads of 2024, so I am very curious to see what shenanigans Genevieve will get up to here.
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
Release date: 22 April 2025
I mean, I’d pretty much buy and read Emily Henry’s grocery list at this point, so of course I’m anticipating her next novel!
When the Tides Held the Moon by Venessa Vida Kelley
Release date: 22 April 2025
I’ve been following Venessa Vida Kelley’s amazing fanart on social media for years. And now she has her own (illustrated!!) book? And it’s about a human falling for a merman? I’m so obsessed with this one already…
One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune
Release date: 6 May 2025
While my feelings about Carley Fortune’s books have been a bit mixed, I am still so excited for her next novel and for being able to return to Barry’s Bay. With the summer vibes her books always seem to have, I feel like reading a Carley Fortune book is a yearly tradition to signal the start of summer (or spring) for me!
Never Been Shipped by Alicia Thompson
Release date: 10 June 2025
With Love, From Cold World is one of my favorite reads of all time. And this new book by Alicia Thompson features musicians? On a ship? Yes please 🙂
I’ve seen First Time Caller on a lot of lists which is cool. I love the “look” of the book (cover snob I still am ;D), and since I am seeing it so much I may need to read more about this one. Hope you enjoy these all, Lindsey!
I think from this entire list, I’m most excited about First Time Caller. The cover is indeed quite pretty! 🙂
I understand what you’re saying about Carley Fortune’s books, I’m not sure I’ll be picking them up in the future.
My TTT: https://laurieisreading.com/2025/01/07/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-look-forward-to-releasing-in-the-first-half-of-2025/
I’ve definitely seen a lot of people having mixed feelings about them! But I’m giving this one another chance as I did love Every Summer After…
I laughed out loud thinking about being trapped in a Rom Com. Guess I should look into the book. Huh?
Haha me too, that book sounds hilarious! 🙂
The title of being abducted by aliens alone is a reason to pick that up.
And Never Been Shipped taking place on a ship, lol!
That book title for the abducted by aliens one definitely drew me in there, it sounds hilarious. And I do love a good pun with Never Been Shipped 🙂
I hadn’t heard of When the Tides Held the Moon but it sounds so good! Also the abducted by aliens one has me interested by its title alone.
Great list!
When the Tides Held the Moon definitely sounds so good! And the title for the alien book is indeed hilarious 😀
I still have to read Reckless, but Fearless looks great! First-Time Caller looks amazing too. I hope you’ll love all these books when you get to read them 🙂

Onyx Storm looks like it could be a good read.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’m definitely looking forward to that one!
I also want to read I Got Abducted By Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a RomCom. Too funny.
It sounds like a hilarious read!
I Got Abducted by Aliens – what a title!
The title definitely drew me in 😀
I’ve seen the first three books on SO many lists already. They’re definitely some of the most hotly anticipated titles. 😍 I forgot Lemming had another book coming out but that looks SO fun. Her stories never fail to make me laugh! I hope you love all of these, Lindsey.
Yes, they definitely seem very highly anticipated, so hopefully we’ll all end up loving them! I haven’t read any Kimberly Lemming yet, but they indeed always look so fun. I think this one will be a great one to start with 😀
Onyx Storm!! I plan on re-reading Iron Flame soon so I’m all ready for the new release.
Re-reading is such a great idea! I think I’m too late to start a re-read so maybe I’ll just look up a recap 🙂
So many amazing books on this list! I have a few and the others are also on my TBR, but I ran out of room. haha. I hope you enjoy these. Onyx Storm is coming up soon!!
So many great books to look forward to, it’s really nice 🙂 Yes, looking forward to Onyx Storm!
I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com is such a funny title! I hope you enjoy reading all of these soon.
