Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! In honor of valentine’s day later this week, today’s topic is a love freebie. As romance books are a pretty big part of my reading (like, 95%. At least.) I decided to go with romance book recommendations. But since there are so many different types of romance recs, I went with 10 different categories. While at first my idea was to list general categories (think fake dating, sports romance, …), it doesn’t always feel sufficient to describe a book that way, so I got a bit more specific.
In the end, this is the list I ended up with, I hope you’ll find some oddly specific recommendation you’ll like!
If you love friends who fake date and then fall in love (and also, Christmas!)
If you have dreamt about being abducted by aliens and getting a hot blue alien boyfriend out of it (no judgement here)
If you love contemporary romance but with a dose of magical time travel shenanigans
If you’re craving vampire romance and were always Team Spike rather than Team Angel
If you love sports romance, grumpy-sunshine and roommate romances
If you like it a little dark and a lot hilariously unhinged
If you like it cozy and sweet with witches and grumpy librarians
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
If you want to get obsessed with a new romantasy series other than Fourth Wing or ACOTAR (and you love Norse mythology)
If you love ghost romances but also wish the ghost could turn corporeal for fun times
If you love a workplace romance, but the workplace is a winter theme park in Florida! (snowball fights AND beach scenes!)
