WWW Wednesday Header

“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):

  1. What did you recently finish reading?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Just Finished Reading
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins

I just finished reading Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins as audiobook.

MY FIRST FIVE-STAR READ OF THE YEAR.

Honestly, I was verrryy hesitant to pick up this book. Yes, I did love the original Hunger Games trilogy, BUT I was also not a fan of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. And while I was curious, I was also doubtful this story could add anything worthwhile to the Hunger Games lore, and did I ever really love Haymitch that much anyway?

But I can now say that YES, this story was a brilliant and heartwrenching addition to the Hunger Games lore. It added so much and it makes you see so many things from the original story in a new light. And YES, Haymitch’s story broke my heart into a tiny million little pieces – I love him so much and he deserves all the love. Even if you know how it will end, you can’t help but fall in love with these characters and root for them.

Sad but highly recommend.

Currently Reading
Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis

I am currently reading Wooing The Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis as ebook.

Only a few chapters in at the moment, but I’m already vibing with the characters and the world so I have big hopes.

Fearless by Lauren Roberts

I am currently reading Fearless (The Powerless trilogy #3) by Lauren Roberts as audiobook.

Also only just started, but I’m so excited to be reunited with Paedyn and Kai and I’m really hoping for an amazing finale full of pining and romantic tension and hopefully a HEA…

Reading Next

As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities I’m thinking of:
